About Me
Hello!
I am a Writer, a Wordsmith, a Storyteller. Be it fantastical tales of knights and dragons or recounting real-life adventures of my past, stories are at the heart of everything I do. My greatest hope is to create stories that inspire, comfort, and spark self-discovery.
I am creating this platform for two reasons.
1. Build Community
I want to help. I don’t know exactly how my skill in writing can do that at this present moment, but I want to try. I offer kindness to all, encouragement to those who seek it, and belief that we all have a reason to be here.
2. Accountability
Once a month, I WILL post something here. Regardless of it's a 100 word journal entry or a fictional short story that's 1,000 words long.
With that said, thank you for stopping by my site. If you see something you like, I’d be honored if you let me know.
Happy Reading!
Writing Journey (Brief)
2023
I self-published Safety in Shadows, a novella about a Fey detective in an urban fantasy grieving the loss of her daughter, fighting the desires to get back with her ex, and being called to leadership to stop a heinous law that will penalize many of her fellow Fey from passing in congress.
2022
I submitted two short stories to a Vocal competition. They received a total of 13,000 entries. One of my stories was listed among the runner-ups.
2017
For the first time, I finished a story that was novel length, 50K to be precise. Shortly thereafter, I had a meaningful if not particularly unique epiphany: A Writer Writes. I was in a lucky enough position to be able to, so I quit my 9-5 job and began studying my craft with vigor.
2008
I wrote a piece for a high school creative writing class called “People who live, People who Die.” It was unintentionally used to process my current depression and self-hate. Multiple people, from separate cliques asked to read it, and it was the beginning of believing maybe I was good at this whole writing thing.
~2000 (elementary school)
I wrote my first ever story. Depending on if you count old 90s graphics with subtitles or needing full hand drawn pictures to accompany the work, then my first story was either about a brother and sister getting water from a well made of licorice or a mouse who hated eating cheese.
